I use Wasabi Object Storage to backup my files in combination with Rclone. Since it uses the same APIs as with AWS S3, I find it quite easy to get started.
  • AWS S3 compatible APIs.
  • Supports custom policies and sub-accounts.
  • Much cheaper when compared to AWS S3.
  • There is no central dashboard where you can see how much storage is used across all buckets.
  • The minimum storage time is three months.
  • They charges a minimum of 1TB of storage.
If you have a huge collection of files where they are unlikely to change over time, like videos and photos, then Wasabi is a great place to back things up.
  • AWS S3 compatible APIs
  • Cheaper pricing for the storage
  • Easy to get started
  • For backing up files it is a great solution
  • They provide free traffic for up to the storage size each month making recovery of files much easier
  • The cheaper price and easy to start APIs are great
Wasabi is a tiny bit more expensive than Backblaze B2 ($5.99 vs $5 per TB per month), and there are minimum storage size/time requirements (1TB, 3Mo), but Wasabi has free traffic each month up to the size of storage which can save you a lot of money.
